AMANDA BLITZ
On a rainy day during the summer of 2001 I approached Helen Thomas as she was leaving the West Wing of the White House. I was interning for a radio news organization between my first and second year of law school. I wanted to know if she thought law was worth pursing when ultimately I knew I wanted to be a reporter. Hunched over under her umbrella, walking towards the gates, she told me to "stick with it" because that's where you'll "learn to ask the real tough questions." Now nine years later, I'm grateful for her advice and the legal career I've had.
With the ability to ask the tough questions in tow and my journalism training, I'm ready to follow my passion and conquer the world of broadcasting. Take a look at my website and some of the stories I've been working on lately.
